Meteorologic parameter is the basis for building energy simulation and the hourly solar radiation is one of the most important meteorological parameters in building energy consumption simulation. Presents and compares the hourly total, direct and diffuse solar radiation models at home and abroad. Choosing C-P&R model and Gompertz model as tools, uses MATLAB to achieve full-year hourly solar radiation and develops the corresponding interface. Utilizing developed software obtains the hourly total, direct and diffuse solar radiations in Shanghai climate station in 2013 and compares them with the actual values. The results show that the calculated hourly solar radiation data accord with the annual variation radiation and the implementation of interface provides the convenience for building energy consumption.
